HT-450 Series Polyisocyanurate Insulation

HiTHERM's HT-450 Series is a nominal 2.5 lb/cu. ft. closed cell rigid polyisocyanurate foam insulation that covers a wide range of applications in the temperature range of +250°F and +400°F, with the ability to maintain performance at temperatures up to 450°F intermittently for short periods of time. These application include, but are not limited to:
Processing Plants Low/Medium Pressure Steam A variety of hot applications	Refineries Chemical Plants Coking Plants and etc.

HT-450 Polyiso

HT-450 is a nominal 2.5 lb/cu.ft polyisocyanurate foam (PIR) that is supplied to a select network of fabricators (contact your local representative) in the form of bunstock. HT-450 is our niche product and offers great thermal properties in addition to great performance for hot applications at temperatures that other polyiso foams cannot reach. Some of these excellent properties are:

Operating Temp.: -100°F to +400°F Continuous +450°F Intermittently
k-factor: 0.18 BTU-in/hr-ft²-°F aged 90 days @ 140°F
Flame/Smoke: 40/80 @ 1" Thick when tested in accordance with ASTM E-84
Water Absorption: < 2% by volume
Complies with Section 1605 of the 2009 ARRA

HT-450 Pipe Support System

Also available with the HT-450 Insulation System is the engineered pipe support. This pipe can be engineered to withstand pressures up to 1,695psi using the 2.5# density HT-450 insulation. This allows for continuous use of a single insulation for an entire project and eliminates the "thermal shorts" that can be caused by cal-sil, cellular glass and other expensive products with much higher k-factors (lower R-values).
