| Beginning in January of 2010, HiTHERM is offering it's full product line nationwide through a wide range of fabricators. HiTHERM has had a presence with it's HT-450® on the east coast for industrial/chemical applications and is now offering our HT-300® closed cell polyisocyanurate (PIR) for use in commercial, institutional, pharmaceutical and industrial applications. HiTHERM's HT-300 offers performance characteristics above and beyond other leading brand polyiso products, the most substantial being the flame and smoke ratings of the 2# density foam. | <1, January 2010> HT-300 Burns the Competition with its Flame/Smoke Test Results | |
| There have been many changes within the polyisocyanurate insulation industry lately when it comes to flame spread and smoke development testing per ASTM E84 and other test methods. HiTHERM, however, has set and continues to raise the bar in performance values of polyisocyanurate insulations. In addition to many composition of matter/end-use patents, HiTHERM's HT-300® 2lb. nominal density closed-cellular rigid polyisocyanurate foam is the only PIR that yields 25/50 flame spread/smoke developed or less up to and including 2.5" thick when tested in accordance with ASTM E84*! HiTHERM has achieved what the bigger polyiso manufacturers can only dream of achieving. Some leading polyisocyanurate manufacturers are no longer "supporting" their previous claims of 25/50 flame/smoke at 1" thick and others cannot achieve it, but HiTHERM has remained steadfast and continues to improve upon an already industry leading product.
